Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Low C-peptide — type 1 diabetes, factitious hypoglycaemia from exogenous insulin.
High / Increased
High C-peptide — type 2 diabetes, insulinoma, sulfonylurea-induced hypoglycaemia.
