Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Hyponatraemia — SIADH, heart failure, cirrhosis, Addison's disease, hypothyroidism, diuretics, vomiting, excess water intake.
High / Increased
Hypernatraemia — dehydration, diabetes insipidus, excessive sodium intake.
