About this test

Copper-carrying alpha-2-glycoprotein synthesised by the liver. Reduced in Wilson's disease (<0.1 g/L) and copper deficiency. Acute-phase protein (rises with inflammation).

Wilson's disease, severe liver disease, protein-losing enteropathy, nephrotic syndrome.
