Female ≥ 18 yrs > 1.2 Adult female; <1.2 is low
Male ≥ 18 yrs > 1 Adult male; <1.0 is low (cardiovascular risk)

Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Low HDL — metabolic syndrome, obesity, smoking, physical inactivity, type 2 diabetes, hypertriglyceridaemia.
