Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Hypoalbuminaemia — liver failure, nephrotic syndrome, malnutrition, malabsorption, protein-losing enteropathy, chronic inflammation.
High / Increased
Hyperalbuminaemia — dehydration (relative).
