TSAT Iron Saturation Percentage Transferrin Saturation
Calculated from serum iron and TIBC %

About this test

Calculated as (Serum Iron / TIBC) × 100. Reflects the proportion of transferrin carrying iron. Key parameter for both iron deficiency (<20%) and iron overload (>45%).

Reference Ranges

Sex Age Range Notes
All ≥ 18 yrs 20 – 50 Adult; <20% = iron-restricted; >45% = iron overload concern

Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
