About this test

Indicates past CMV infection (latent). Important for risk stratification in organ transplant donors and recipients; seronegative recipients receiving organs from seropositive donors (D+/R−) are at highest risk.

Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Seronegative — no prior CMV exposure.
High / Increased
