Clinical Interpretation

Low / Decreased
Monopaenia — hairy cell leukaemia, aplastic anaemia, steroid therapy.
High / Increased
Monocytosis — chronic infections (TB, malaria), inflammatory bowel disease, myelomonocytic leukaemia.
